Role Overview:
As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions that streamline and optimize our operations. Your focus will be on automating repetitive tasks, improving workflows, and leveraging state-of-the-art tools and technologies to achieve excellence in efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation strategies to optimize various business processes and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements for automation projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and workflows using appropriate automation tools and frameworks.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of automation solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in automation processes, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Regularly monitor the performance of automation systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Work closely with IT teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems and databases.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and trends, proposing innovative solutions that align with industry best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation processes, workflows, and configurations.
- Train and support end-users in understanding and utilizing automation tools and solutions effectively.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 3-4 years of experience as an Automation Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C#, with the ability to write efficient and maintainable code.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) tools like UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere is a plus.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, testing techniques, and quality assurance principles.
- Knowledge of databases and SQL, with the ability to query and manipulate data as needed for automation processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
